What Do You Like Taking Pictures Of?

A few weeks ago, I wrote a post about what I’d like my first destination in South America to be due to the fact that I am a swimmer. Well, I think swimming continues to infiltrate in other areas of my life – more than I thought – because when I look at most of my pictures, they are dominated by one common factor; water.

I haven’t been to a desert yet, but when I go, I won’t be too surprised if I find an oasis. I honestly didn’t even realize most of my pictures were water based, or contained some kind of water in them until I was answering some travel questions some time ago. I was thinking to myself, ‘Larissa, you don’t really seek out anything specific in every location to photograph’. Then as I began to browse through my pictures, it became apparent that I subconsciously seek out water! Whether that means I’m in it, on it, or around it, I guess I found out that water isn’t usually that far away from me.

What’s your favorite thing to photograph? Or if you’re like me, when you look back at your pictures, what you find yourself gravitating towards? Let me know in the comments!

    1. I love seeing pictures of dogs!! I tried to teach my dog to smile, but he was not having any of it. And he’s also camera shy, so me trying to take pictures of him doesn’t usually turn out well 😅

  1. I like taking pictures in the woods when I’m hiking. I love your pictures of the water, they look very inviting.

  2. I love taking pictures of animals. Of any kind. I also really love photographing kids. They are so fun to watch and their curiosity for life reminds me of the simpler things.

  3. I’m afraid I have a problem with photos … I feel the need to take them of everything! Animals and scenery are my favorites, but if I see something crazy, I have to try to snap it 🙂

    1. No judgement! Pictures are memories, and I love showing them to family and friends. And when you’re trying to describe something to someone, it’s a lot easier if you have a picture handy 🙂
