2017 Year Highlights

2017 is coming to an end, and 2018 is about to begin. How crazy is that?! Before heading into the new year, I decided I wanted to look back on this past year and see my 2017 year highlights. Come check it out!

Can you believe it? 2017 is coming to an end, and 2018 is about to begin. Although I started my blog back in 2016, at the beginning of 2017 was when I really decided to start taking it more seriously. I did a lot of research, joined several Facebook groups, and really dedicated a lot of time and effort into Life with Larissa. I know I still have a long way to go before my blog is where I would like it to be, but I’m beyond happy with the progress I have made so far. Not only have I made strides in my blog, but I’ve also met some really cool bloggers, done numerous collaborations, and started my own travel blogging Facebook group! Let’s take a look back at the 2017 year highlights: Continue reading “2017 Year Highlights”

Long-distance friendships arise from many different situations. I know the struggle of trying to maintain long-distance friendships, so I’m sharing three tips to keep those relationships going strong! Continue reading “3 Tips for Long-Distance Friendships”

Photo Shoot Attempt in Orlando

Travel blogging consists of a variety of aspects – some that I didn’t really think about when I entered into the blogging community. Not only do you have to possess a deep passion for travelling, you also have to incorporate the various aspects of social media, writing/editing skills, and of course, photography skills. For me, each day that I work on my blog consists of stepping out of my comfort zone, especially when it comes to my photography skills. Continue reading “Photo Shoot Attempt in Orlando”

Disney World for the Day

A few weekends ago, my sister, Brit, and I were able to travel to Orlando, Florida. We were meeting up with one of our long-time friends for one day, and staying with our cousin for the rest of the days. We also had the opportunity to visit both Disney World and Universal Studios while down there. It was my sister’s first time in both parks, so it was exciting to see her reactions while experiencing the parks. In this two part series of our adventures, you’ll read about our experiences at the parks! This post is dedicated to our time at Disney World! Continue reading “Disney World for the Day”

What Do You Like Taking Pictures Of?

A few weeks ago, I wrote a post about what I’d like my first destination in South America to be due to the fact that I am a swimmer. Well, I think swimming continues to infiltrate in other areas of my life – more than I thought – because when I look at most of my pictures, they are dominated by one common factor; water. The Most Important Lesson I Learned While Travelling

“Life lessons will catch you at moments you would never expect. They don’t announce themselves, or come with a tag.”

I’m going to tell you a story…one that occurred in a very unlikely place that will be stuck with me forever.

My best friend and I were at the beach. I can’t remember if it was spring break, or if we met up in the summer. I can’t remember if it was Oak Island, Myrtle Beach, or some other beach on the east coast. What I do remember from that trip, is having a conversation with a shop owner that changed my life. My friend and I walked into the store with the intention of buying a couple of souvenirs for family and friends back home; what we left with was so much more. “Where are you from?”

Let me give you some insight on what goes on in my head when someone asks me that: Continue reading “Where Are You From?”
