Weekend Getaway in Savannah

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope you all had a fun and safe weekend, and you’re ready to conquer this new week. I took a pretty long hiatus from the blog as so many changes were going on in my life, and I needed to be able to keep up. Hopefully I’ll be back more consistently from now on 🙂 These next few weeks I’m going to reminisce on some of my past travels I haven’t written about yet. One of my most recent trips was a weekend gateway to Savannah, Georgia!  Continue reading “Weekend Getaway in Savannah”

Decatur Glassblowing

Disclaimer: I paid full price for this class, and these are my honest opinions.

9:00PM on a Sunday. Most people are either scrambling to finish their homework, getting ready for the week ahead, or already in bed. Usually, those are the activities consuming my Sunday evenings as well – but not on Sunday, October 15. Instead, that night, I found myself at Decatur Glassblowing. REVIEW: The Georgia Sea Turtle Center

The Georgia Sea Turtle Center, located on Jekyll Island on the coast of Georgia, opened back in 2007. Not only is the center a rehabilitation facility and hospital for sea turtles, but it’s also an educational center raising awareness of the damage that has been done and steps we need to take in order to protect our environment. Mom and I were able to visit the center, and we genuinely enjoyed our time there. Although we did learn a lot about the different types of sea turtles and their life cycles, we also learned so much more about the environment in general. It truly was an eyeopening experience! As you may or may not have heard, I won a contest! And not just any contest, but the St. Simon’s Food + Spirits Festival Contest where I was able to go and experience new things. Today, I’m sharing my thoughts on the King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort, which we were able to stay at for three nights.  Continue reading “REVIEW: The King and Prince – Beach & Golf Resort”

5 Hidden Gems Found in South East U.S.

Here are five places in the south east United States that you may or may not have heard of before. In my opinion they are worth paying a visit!

I’ve been in the Southeast part of the U.S. for basically as long as I can remember. I’ve lived in Georgia. I went to school in North Carolina. I’ve visited Florida with my friends. I’ve gone to South Carolina for spring break. In my opinion, it’s easy to pick the places that everyone wants to go: Orlando, Miami, Atlanta, Raleigh, Charlotte. Basically the big well-known cities; The cities that offer theme parks, attractions, and sights. But what about the great places that aren’t as well-known? The smaller{er} places with places with personalities just as big as the larger cities? Ready to learn where to find some gems in the southeast? Let’s go!
