Une Promenade en Paris
Come take a stroll through the lovely city of Paris!
The city of lights. The city of love. The city of my dreams. Only one place in the world meets the criteria for all three: Paris, France. I have been blessed to have visited my favorite city three times, with many more visits in the future {I hope!}. I’ve been to some of the top monumental sights in this beautiful city, but would you believe I haven’t seen it all? I’ll share what I believe are some of the must see sights! Feature Friday: Meghan L.
Interviews can be fun! Come learn a little about Meghan’s journey and travel experiences!
Let me introduce Meghan. She is a 23 year old who has travelled to many different countries, but is currently residing in Africa. She is a single parent of two beautiful daughters, Priscilla (6 years old) and Rhoda (9 years old), and to their puppy, Douglas. She founded, and runs, Family First – Ghana, a nonprofit organization working with families of children with special needs. The main focus of this group is to prevent these children from ever entering into an orphanage. How amazing is that?! I could go on and on about how interesting and cool she is, but don’t take my word for it. Read what she has to say! Continue reading “Feature Friday: Meghan L.”

The ABC’s of Travel
While on Facebook one day, I saw a status that said, “The ABCs of Me.” After reading through the challenge, I thought it would be a pretty cool blog post. I began to think if there was an ABC’s of Travel, and after a little bit of googling, I found one! Like the name implies, this challenge goes through the letters of the alphabet, with each letter representing an aspect of traveling. Some questions are a little easier to answer than others, but all of the questions made me relive my adventures! Continue reading “The ABC’s of Travel”
What Does Travel Mean to Me?
“You will never be completely at home again, because part of your heart will always be elsewhere. That is the price you pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than one place.” ~ Miriam Adeney
Traveling comes in various shapes and forms, and everyone travels for their own different reasons: business, pleasure, education. When I think about why I travel, a single word does not come to mind. For me, it’s more of a feeling. It’s hard to explain the rush of excitement I get when I find out I am going to travel. It’s hard to explain the range of emotions I experience during my adventures. When I travel, I just know that I’m doing what I’m supposed to be doing. It doesn’t make sense, and I can’t explain it. I’m like an oxymoron when I travel, because there is this feeling of peace, but at the same time, I’m anxious and excited! Continue reading “What Does Travel Mean to Me?”
The Wanderlust Tag
I was inspired to search for a travel tag by one of my friends. She is going to work at Disney and she did the Disney tag on her vlog. I thought it was pretty cool, so I decided to do ‘The Wanderlust Tag’. I combined questions that I found from others Wanderlust Tags to come up with this one:
- What is your most treasured passport stamp?
I would have to say my stamp from France, since France is currently my favorite country. But in all honesty, I treasure all my stamps; the more, the merrier!
- Can you recite your passport number from memory, if asked?
No, I can’t recite my passport number by heart. If anyone can, that’s impressive! Continue reading “The Wanderlust Tag”
Making a Splash with Olympians
Before anything else, you have to understand I have long standing relationship with the swimming community. I was introduced to the pool at the age of 10, and since then, I’ve never looked back. I swam my way through middle school, high school, and even college. After those last 4 years, I was done; however, swimming has an addictive quality. After spending about 13 years in the sport, it was impossible to just drop it cold turkey. One thing led to another and I ended up coaching with my club team. Getting to Know the Georgia Aquarium
I’ve lived in the Atlanta area for about 14 years, and today was the first time that I’ve been to the Georgia Aquarium. I’ve had a few opportunities to go; however, when presented with the price of The Coca-Cola Factory ($16) or the Aquarium ($32), the Coca-Cola Factory won out. {They are right next to each other, so when buying tickets in person, it is from the same ticket window}.
Anyway, tonight, one of my best friends, Vika, and I were able to visit the Aquarium. We purchased our tickets online beforehand, for there is a small discount when you do so. We also paid for parking online…this saves you $1, but hey, every dollar counts. Continue reading “Getting to Know the Georgia Aquarium”
