Another ‘Make Larissa Do Things’ in the books 📚 You voted for us to go check out the Trap Music Museum, so that’s exactly what we did. Here’s what you need to know -

🚘 Parking: I found parking to be a bit stressful; my sister thought it was fine. We paid $20, but as we were walking away I heard the guy tell someone else $10 “since they weren’t going to be there long”. Not sure what that means.

🎟️ Tickets: You can pre-purchase tickets online. We bought them at the door. It’s $25/person. I’m not sure if they take cash, but they do take credit card and Apple Pay.

🏚️ Museum: The museum itself is pretty small so it doesn’t take a long time to walk through. Make sure to read the information along the way as that gives significant insight into the history of trap music. Within 10 minutes of entering the museum, I learned so much. As you work your way towards the back, you’ll find the iconic pink car and a bar with a variety of drinks available for purchase.

⛔️ Escape the Trap: I believe there’s an escape room associated with the museum. As we were leaving, we saw a sign that read “Escape the Trap”. So if escape rooms are your thing, maybe something to look into!

We know I love all things French, so when I found

We know I love all things French, so when I found out about @afatl ‘s French Market, I knew I had to check it out.

🇫🇷 From baked treats to French books to cute clothes to beautiful flowers to free berets and so much more, this market had something for everyone! I ended up buying some treats from a Haitian tent.

👯‍♀️ I met up with Kita to explore the market, and we even dipped into Gypsy Kitchen for lunch when a rainstorm decided to pass through. We ran into Shanita later in the day, who helped organize the amazing market!

Jacksonville is getting their community outside every month with their downtown Sip & Stroll along the river. It’s an event hosted every third Thursday of the month with live music, food trucks, bars, and a silent disco after party. I had the opportunity to attend last month and it was a blast!
