Exploring Hawaii

My trip to Hawaii was incredible. Come find out how we spent our time in the beautiful island!

When I think of Hawaii, images of sand, surf, and sun pop into my head; and the island did not disappoint! Surreal doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel when I think about the fact that I actually visited the 50th state. Hawaii is made up of several islands, and if you’ve been keeping up with my posts, you’ll know that my sister, Brit, and I visited the island of Oahu. Continue reading “Exploring Hawaii”

10 Pictures That’ll Make You Want to Visit Oahu Right Now

The pictures taken on my trip to Hawaii don’t come close to capturing the true beauty the island has to offer, but I tried. Come take a look and see if they make you want to visit Oahu!

I recently took a trip to Oahu, one of the islands of Hawaii. It was truly such an amazing experience. Many times I forgot I was visiting one of the 50 states. The culture is completely different from the mainland. I plan to publish a complete post about my trip next week, but until then, I’ve decided to share 10 of my pictures from the trip in my very first ever photo essay! Enjoy! Une Promenade en Paris

Come take a stroll through the lovely city of Paris!

The city of lights. The city of love. The city of my dreams. Only one place in the world meets the criteria for all three: Paris, France. I have been blessed to have visited my favorite city three times, with many more visits in the future {I hope!}. I’ve been to some of the top monumental sights in this beautiful city, but would you believe I haven’t seen it all? I’ll share what I believe are some of the must see sights! Making a Splash with Olympians

Before anything else, you have to understand I have long standing relationship with the swimming community. I was introduced to the pool at the age of 10, and since then, I’ve never looked back. I swam my way through middle school, high school, and even college. After those last 4 years, I was done; however, swimming has an addictive quality. After spending about 13 years in the sport, it was impossible to just drop it cold turkey. One thing led to another and I ended up coaching with my club team. Getting to Know the Georgia Aquarium

I’ve lived in the Atlanta area for about 14 years, and today was the first time that I’ve been to the Georgia Aquarium. I’ve had a few opportunities to go; however, when presented with the price of The Coca-Cola Factory ($16) or the Aquarium ($32), the Coca-Cola Factory won out. {They are right next to each other, so when buying tickets in person, it is from the same ticket window}.

Anyway, tonight, one of my best friends, Vika, and I were able to visit the Aquarium. We purchased our tickets online beforehand, for there is a small discount when you do so. We also paid for parking online…this saves you $1, but hey, every dollar counts. Continue reading “Getting to Know the Georgia Aquarium”
