The Ultimate Antarctica Packing Guide

I’ll be honest with you. I didn’t expect to be able to say that I’ve visited Antarctica so early in my life. It seems like such a faraway concept and place, but I was able to make it happen. Read about that here. You can imagine I was pretty frantic about what to pack, especially since I live in Georgia, United States (hello warm weather almost all the time) and since I was only planning to bring a carryon. Somehow I managed to pack everything I needed and then some. I’ll share exactly what I packed, what I could have left behind, and if I felt like I missed anything. Without further ado, the ultimate Antarctica packing guide.

Birthday Behavior: Sarasota Edition

Disclosure: I received complimentary tickets to the various sites I visited; however, these are my honest opinions.

Last year on my birthday, I took a trip to New Orleans and it was so much fun! I decided then that I was going to try and turn it into a tradition and take a trip on my birthday every year. This year, my mission was simple: go to where the sun shines. So it was no surprise that I found myself in the Sunshine State, more specifically, spending a weekend in Sarasota, Florida. Even though there was sporadic rain throughout my time there, I had so much fun and could not get enough of the warmer temperatures!

Accessibility at Disney World

Disclaimer: I am an able-bodied individual speaking on accessibility at Disney World.

It never even crossed my mind that I would be able to say I’ve been to Disney World more times than I can count! Okay, I haven’t been that much, but more than the once in a lifetime I was expecting. If interested, check out my previous Disney posts here, here, and here! The cool thing about returning to Disney is that each time I go, I learn something new! This time around, my friend Courtney shared with me about the accessibility at Disney World, and now I’d like to share it with you!

10 Things To Do In Shanghai

Our first stop of our grand adventure in January started in Shanghai. I flew out of the United States on New Year’s Eve, spending actual New Year in the air, not knowing when the countdown began or ended. It did not matter that much to me though, because I would be ringing in the new year in Asia, visiting different places, learning of different cultures, and sampling different foods.

Shanghai, China’s biggest city and also the financial hub of the country, offers so many exciting adventures for those passing through. We spent five days exploring the city, and had a blast doing so. Below, sorted alphabetically, you’ll find the top ten things I recommend doing while in Shanghai!

Airbnb is a great way to find accommodations for your next trip. Instead of staying in a hotel, try visiting a home away from home. This guide will give you the tools to figure out which place is right for you!

So many details go into planning the perfect trip. Your mode of transportation, your budget, your activities, your meals, and so much more. And let us not forget lodging.
