About

Hi, my name is Larissa and welcome to Life with Larissa! I have a deep passion for traveling. I have been to many different states and several different countries. I’m blessed to have the opportunity to share my passion of travelling with others. I’m not travelling all the time, but when I do, you’ll be able to follow my adventures–from cruises to road trips to travelling overseas to anywhere else life takes me! Not only that, but you’ll also be able to learn about other people’s travel experiences.

Background on Larissa:

I was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I moved to the United States at a very young age. Although I lived in several different states, I basically grew up in the state of Georgia. I fell in love with the sport of swimming, and I never looked back. I swam competitively for about 13-ish years, which led me to swim at Campbell University. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a double minor in Biology & French. A few years later, I returned to school at Georgia State University where I graduated with my Master of Public Health, with a concentration in Health Promotion & Behavior.

A few fun random facts about me:
– I speak three languages; English, French, & Creole. I’m currently learning my fourth – Mandarin.
– I enjoy reading. If you have a good recommendation, send it my way!
– My favorite tv show is Spongebob. On the odd chance you find me watching tv, that is the show I will most likely be watching.
– When I go to new coffee shops, I ask for the most popular drink or the barista’s favorite.
– I don’t like beer, but I’m willing to give it a try as I’m trying to change that about myself.

Travelling Background:

While at Campbell University, I was able to go on two study abroad trips during the summer with the Psychology Department. I went on one trip before I graduated, and because I loved it so much, I went on another after I graduated. On both trips we visited France, Germany, and Austria – although not necessarily the same cities. I was mesmerized with the various people I was able to interact with, and with the cultures I experienced. Oh, and I absolutely LOVED the food!

Vlogging:

Once upon a time, I thought it’d be a good idea to start a vlog. I wanted to share my experiences – the sights, the views, the food, the people, and everything in between. I started documenting my adventures, but because of my camera-shyness, I stopped sharing. One of my goals is to pick back up, and continue sharing via vlog and develop my skills!

Thank You:

Thank you for embarking on this journey with me! I’m excited to have you along for the ride. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me. Again, welcome to Life with Larissa!
